Our local governing body, the city council met last nite to propose another ordinance for lanlord's to have to jump through yet another hoop.
They want the landlord's to register with city hall everyone who is going to be living at a particular residence,how many bedroom's there are in each and every rental property they have.
They act like they want to make Albertville a better place to live and "clean up" the eye sores,But I think there is a racial undertone here.
The fact of the matter is ,nobody that was born and raised her like''s to see our town flooded by illeagal immigrant's.But they(the latino's)are not here because they heard about the great rental property we have to offer.
They are here because of the Poultry buisness!
They have been lured here by all of the poultry plant's.It has been proven and the poultry plant's have gotten in trouble for doctoring paper work to make these people appear to be legal.
My point is this,The culprit for illegal immigrant's being here is the poultry buisness.But the local land lord's are taking all the heat for it.
If the city want's Mexicans,Guatamalans,El Salvadorians...to leave they should assist the Fed's with enforcing legislation already on the books.The best place to start would be at the gate of the poultry plant's.
I am not a racist and I do not own any rental property.I don't blame anyone for wanting to live in this country but they need to be legal.
P.S Doesn't Pat Allen the president of the city council, work at a poultry plant as head of the human resources department?
