Morgan Hill Times - MORGAN HILL -- The Morgan Hill Midget Raiders improved to 4-2 overall with a 27-0 shutout over the Bay City Bulldogs on Saturday in the Morgan Hill Outdoor Sports Center.The defense and offense are performing seamlessly as the Raiders continue to dominate their opponents, building a 116-8 scoring edge through the last four games.Morgan Hill racked up 273 total yards with the efforts of Obi Mbonu, who carried four times for 159 yards and rushing touchdowns of 63, 32 and 12 yards; Isaiah Quintana, who had 65 yards on 11 rushes; and Jordan Lozada, who provided 24 all-purpose yards on 14 touches.Raiders kicker Jose Casarez provided nine points, including six PATs and a 13-yard field goal.Morgan Hill's defense created three turnovers while holding Bay City to 75 yards. Ryan Pereira led the Raiders with seven tackles. Teammates Steven Villareal had five tackles and an interception, and Reuben Magana made four tackles and two fumble recoveries.Morgan Hill faces the West Valley Falcons on Saturday in a battle for second place at the Outdoor Sports Center.JR. MIDGETS The Bay City Bulldogs had more bark than bite as the Morgan Hill Jr. Midget Raiders reaped another impressive win Saturday 22-0.Three minutes into the game, Trevor Bearden scored on a 12-yard touchdown run, punctuated by a two-point conversion to put Morgan Hill in front 8-0.Jacob Ledon, Daniel Ginther and Kyle Quadros led the Raiders on defense with multiple tackles and assists, resulting in losses for Bay City. The solid play of Morgan Hill's defensive linemen -- Woodward, Bergstrom, Tipton, Priest, Duran, Havstad, Magana, Craig, Carrasco, Peru, Cerniglia and Roush kept the Bulldogs at bay.A 20-yard touchdown run by Bearden made the score 14-0 in the third quarter.
