The News-Times - DANBURY -- There have been 12 burglaries in Danbury since Friday, according to Police Capt. Robert Myles.
"In the past week or so we have had an upswing in burglaries," Myles said Tuesday.
In response to the high number in such a few days, Danbury police deployed plainclothes officers from the Community Conditions Unit on burglary prevention detail "with good results," according to Myles....

The incident took place between 3 and 4 p.m., police say. The 19-year-old woman was jogging alone when a pickup truck stopped, the passenger exited the vehicle, approached her and grabbed her arm, apparently trying to get her into the vehicle, police said....
