Orlando Sentinel - Families will be tidying up homes as relatives drop by this holiday season. Polk's Solid Waste Division wants to give them a hand. The landfill will collect household hazardous waste and electronic equipment at no charge from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chain of Lakes Southwest Complex, 210 Cypress Gardens Blvd. Household materials accepted include aerosol cans, batteries, cleaners, disinfectants, paint and pool cleaners. Five electronics, such as computers, monitors, stereos and TVs, are allowed per household. No business waste, please.
