Powell said 8220;It could be because it8217;s too complicated for them to do or they don8217;t realize they are eligible That8217;s why we offer help when we do our outreach programs8221;Now is not only the time for newly eligible folks to sign up for the program it8217;s also for those already in the program to review their current coverage said Daniel Curry of Kentucky Legal AidCurry said each of the plans has a drug formulary and not every plan pays for all drugs8220;So a plan that is best for me may not be what8217;s best for wife or my neighbor if we are not taking identical medications8221; Curry said 8220;Which plan is best depends on what prescriptions you actually take8221;Powell said that8217;s why it8217;s important to review current coverage during the open enrollment period8220;The drugs you are taking may have changed or the premiums may change8221; she said 8220;So it8217;s important to review your options8221;Kentucky Legal Aid offers individual counseling sessions with residents at its outreach sessions8220;We look at how much you can afford in premiums or if you qualify for a premium free plan8221; Powell said 8220;And we take a look at what drugs you use8221;Powell said the lowest monthly premium available is 036;1680 The lowest premium for a program that provides coverage between the gap in the deductible is 036;5180 a monthBecause of the potential for human error in writing prescriptions down Curry recommends that residents bring all their prescription bottles with them to a session or have them by their side if they are doing the comparison themselves8220;That way we know the dosage how often you take it and the exact spelling of the drug8221; Curry saidResidents who have Internet access and feel comfortable with the process on their own can do comparison shopping on wwwmedicaregov People can enroll or change their plans beginning SaturdayThe following are Kentucky Legal Aid outreach events:Monday 8212;
