SPRINGFIELD - Springfield police are searching for three suspects believed to have broken into the Cumberland Farms convenience store on Parker Street in Indian Orchard this morning.

Approaching police officers saw three suspects walking away from the store. Once the suspects saw the police cruisers they scattered, Dexheimer said.
A state police dog was summoned to the scene. However, the three remain at large, Dexheimer said.
The three looked to be "younger males," Dexheimer said.

Quaboag Regional School Committee narrows list of superintendent ... Found: 3 Weeks 6 Hours 7 Minutes ago Union News & Republican - The finalists are Kelly Clenchy, superintendent of the Orono-Veazie School Union No. 87 in Orono, Maine, and Brett M. Kustigian, principal of Douglas High School in Douglas. By CHRIS HAMEL

WARREN - The Quaboag Regional School Committee has whittled down the candidates list for a new superintendent to two contenders.
Kelly Clenchy, superintendent of the Orono-Veazie School Union No. 87 in Orono, Maine, and Brett M. Kustigian, principal of Douglas High School in Douglas, have emerged atop a field of six finalists, said Patricia A. Correira, field director of training and development for the Massachusetts Association of School Committees Inc.
The association has been assisting the district in its search. A total of 41 candidates were in the preliminary applicants pool, after the school committee chose in April to hold a second search round.
The school district, which serves Warren and West Brookfield, has been without a superintendent, since Carol C. Jacobs left in the summer of 2007 to become superintendent of the public schools in Georgetown. Interim Superintendent Edward M. Malvey, who was not a candidate, has been overseeing the district, during the search for a full-time replacement.
Correira said late this afternoon that the school committee will conduct public telephone conference calls with the two candidates, starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning from the school district's headquarters in the Shepard Municipal Building.
Clenchy and Kustigian are expected to visit the district on Friday and Thursday, respectively, she said. It is possible that the committee may decide to make site visits to Douglas and Orono, Maine, she said.
The committee will deliberate toward a final choice next week. The panel could make its decision at the earliest on Monday, she said.
