"We had a five-minute window to save his life," said Dr. Robert Fitzgibbons Jr., one of the surgeons who operated on the wounded officer today at Creighton University Medical Center. Latschar was shot during a traffic stop near 42nd Street and Camden Avenue about 11 p.m. Wednesday.
