Asbury Park Press - A Toms River man remains in the Monmouth County Jail after an argument-laden drive through Brielle escalated into a physical assault and the theft of his girlfriend's car, police said.Justin E. Stokes, 27, is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail after Brielle police charged him with aggravated assault, robbery and criminal mischief on Wednesday, police Chief Michael W. Palmer said.Stokes began arguing with the 23-year-old Freehold woman in Toms River, Palmer said. The situation worsened by the time they reached Riverview Drive and Higgins Avenue in Brielle with Stokes assaulting the woman and damaging her car, a 2001 Hyundai, Palmer said."She screamed to two men who were nearby to call the police,"Palmer said. Stokes then drove off with her car, according to the police reports.Stokes later surrendered at Brielle police headquarters, Palmer said....
