Asbury Park Press - The dolphins in the Shrewsbury River "appear fine"today and officials are striving to spread the word about guidelines on how to watch them safely, according to an e-mail from a federal official.Guidelines include the following:• Stay at least 50 yards away from the animals.• Observe no-wake zones in the Shrewsbury River.• Don't feed or touch the dolphins or go into the water.• Don't interfere with natural behaviors. Move away slowly if you cannot avoid the dolphins.People should report any injured or stranded marine mammals, including dolphins, to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, according to a notice and an e-mail from Teri Frady, a spokeswoman for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Northeast Fisheries Science Center in Woods Hole, Mass.The number for the Brigantine center is (609) 266-0538.People also can report dolphin harassment by calling the NOAA Enforcement hot line: (800) 853-1964, Frady's e-mail says....
