Turkey Bowl raises more than $28,000 so far Found: 5 Days 58 Minutes ago Asbury Park Press - Sixteen legions of hearty football players volunteered their time this morning, not only to relive the thrill of victory, or the agony of defeat, but also to raise funds to Jason's Dream For Kids, a Red Bank-based organization the fulfills the wishes of kids facing life threatening illness.Marking the 9th annual "Turkey Bowl''behind Thompson Middle School, 16 teams, each with 16 players, anted up $1,000 each to play in the round robin football competition that runs until 2 p.m. today.In addition, companies could sponsor one of the eight football fields at $2,500 a field.So far, the event has collected an estimated $28,000 in team fees, sponsorships and field sponsorship.That figure, according to Turkey Bowl founder Adam Kazalski, pushes the nine-year cumulative total to more than $200,000 in funds raised.Read more about the Turkey Bowl in tomorrow's Asbury Park Press....
