The Jamestown Sun - Litchville-Marion-Montpelier co-coaches Lynn Krueger and Victoria Haak got exactly what they wanted out of their team in Thursday's quarterfinal match of the state Class B girls' volleyball tournament.
The Rebels began their first state tournament appearance with a dominating 3-0 win over the Stanley Blue Jays, earning the team a date with Langdon in today's semifinals inside the Minot State Dome.

The Jamestown Sun - In first-team all-state qualifying time, Jamestown freshman Erin Hart captured third in the 100 backstroke finals during the high school girls' swimming and diving state championships Saturday in Mandan.
Hart set a personal best in the event during the prelims on Friday, when she completed the race with a time of 1:01.55. She backed up that performance in the finals with a 1:01.68, which was good enough to place her third on the podium.

The Jamestown Sun - Every outing is a learning experience for the young Jamestown swimmers and divers.
That's certainly the case this weekend at the state meet in Mandan where the Blue Jays have several qualifiers and a handful of contenders.
"You just hope they have a good experience, continue to drop time and feel good about what they did at the state meet," coach Marney Shirley said. "It's always a learning experience with a young team."
Despite being young, they still figure to leave Mandan Saturday with some placers and points.
