Altus Times - Several students from Altus attended the recent Southwestern Oklahoma State University's 53rd annual band camp on the Weatherford campus. The event attracted 481 students from five states. The event is Oklahoma's oldest and largest band camp and this year's camp was one of the largest in recent years. The students auditioned for placement in one of five concert bands and participated in rehearsals as well as a variety of recreational activities. The camp ended with a final concert featuring all five bands. Among the students attending the camp from Altus were (front from left): Dustin London, Bobby Wolfe, Elizabeth Humpula and Drew Ahrens.
