My fellow citizens' lack of perspective and sometimes lack of education never ceases to amaze me. When Barack Obama spoke of "spreading the wealth around" he was called a socialist -- probably by people who couldn't tell you what socialism is. A few weeks ago, our nation's banking elites pulled off what will be the biggest redistribution of wealth upward in U.S. history -- possibly in world history. A minimum of $700 billion, that is, will be transferred to the banks at taxpayer expense. Some of us have been calling this a Robin-Hood-in-reverse heist. The bank officials used scare tactics and prevailed on fears of an economic meltdown and possible global depression for which they alone would have been responsible....
