Alternate QB Kasey Kruse has rushed for 8 TDs and close to 400 yards and Jake Hoagland (358, 5.2, 4 TD) adds power. Austin Berend (6-179-3 in past 4 games) caught two TD passes last week and Greg Chronis (14-366-4 in past 5 games) took one TD pass. WR Levi Kraft (13-368-2) remains questionable with injuries. Average 30 points. Won state titles in 1976, 1978 and 1982 under Gordie Schofield. Boast strong running backs in Dylan McCarthy and Trevor Fincher and QB Mike Wolter is also a strong runner. Lost to Lakeland with QB out with injury.OtherRiver Falls (7-3) at Marshfield (7-3), 2 p.m.: Levi Johnson scored three touchdowns and ran for 89 yards as the Wildcats had little trouble with La Crosse Central, 35-14. The Tigers, who beat La Crosse Logan in the first round, are in the second round of the playoffs for the first time since finishing as the Division 1 runner-up in 2004.DIVISION 4Mondovi (9-1) at Bloomer (8-2)- Where, when: 5 p.m. at Bloomer Middle School.- Up next: Baldwin-Woodville (9-1) or Somerset (7-3).- Mondovi: Rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to beat rival Durand, 27-9, in first round. Present balanced attack with Dan Sailer (961, 6.0, 8 TD), Hayden Hougen (665, 5.6, 8 TD) and Aaron Wolfe (registered first 100-yard game with 112 on Tuesday) alternating carrying the ball. The Warriors beat Northwood/Springs, 54-28, in first round.
